Check the recipe for Masala Paste. No need to add any Cream.
Recipe for 3 to 4 People.
Preparation and Cooking Time : 30 Minutes
1.Potato’s – 3 Big ( Peel the Skin and Cut into Big Bite size Pieces)(
2. Tomato’s -2 Big ( Chopped)
3. Onion – Medium( Chopped)
4. Garlic -4 ( Crushed)
5.Salt as per taste
6. Oil – 2tbsp
7.Curry leaves , Mint Leaves and Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves
8.Garam Masala – 1/2 tbsp.
9.Cumin seeds – 1tbsp
10 . Water – 2 Glasses ( 16 Ounces) ( Half glass to grind the Masala and 1 1/2 glass to Cook Potato Curry)
Dry roast Handful Channa Dal. Once Channa dal is Half done add Half tbsp. Cumin seeds, Half tbsp. Coriander seeds and 2 Red Chillies.
Cool and Grind with Handful Dry Coconut , Little Salt and Garam Masala. Once you grind it into Fine Powder add Half Glass Water and Grind into fine Paste.
1.Heat 2 tbsp. Oil in Pressure Cooker and add Cumin seeds, chopped Onions , Turmeric and fry till Golden Brown. Once Onions are Brown add Crushed Garlic.
2. Add chopped Tomato’s and Cook UNTIL tomato’s are soft.
3.Once tomato’s are well Cooked add Chopped Potato , Masala Paste, 1 1/2 glass water, Salt, Mint Leaves , Green Chillies ( Optional) and PRESSURE COOK for 3 Whistles.
4. Check for Salt and add accordingly.
5.Garnish with Finely chopped Coriander Leaves.
