ADIRASAM ( SHORT CUT METHOD) – AIR FRYER AND INSTANT POT – 5 INGREDIENTS

DESSERT with COCONUT – AIR FRYER 

Do you like traditional desserts which are not deep fried. I tried this traditional recipe in Air fryer and turned out good. First we need to cook the dough on stove top or Instant pot . You can refrigerate the dough and bake in Air fryer before you serve. Knead the dough once cooled by adding Ghee or Oil or Combination of Ghee and Oil . Just bake the time I mentioned otherwise they will be hard. If you refrigerate the dough ,bring the dough to room temperature or  bake for couple more minutes. They have to be 2 inch thick . We like the taste of Jaggery. You can add sweetner of your choice or combination of Jaggery and sugar.  Here is the simple recipe with every day ingredients from your pantry .

Recipe for  12 to 15 . One cup – Measuring cup 

INGREDIENTS :

1. Rice flour – 1 cup( store bought)  , Wheat flour – 1 cup

2. Dry coconut -1/2 cup

3. Ghee – 5 tbsp or Oil – 5 tbsp 

4. Water – One measuring cup 

5. Jaggery – 1 measuring cup or combination of Jaggery and sugar 

6. Cardamom powder

METHOD INSTANT POT : 

1. Add water , powdered jaggery , cardamom  and 5 tbsp ghee to inner pot. Close lid Manual 2 minutes . QPR ( after 10 minutes) .

2. Take out inner pot . ( In a bowl mix rice flour , wheat flour and coconut . Mix well)

3. To the melted jaggery water add the flour and mix slowly . It may seem that water is not sufficient . Mix with hands once cooled down.

4. Grease your hands with little oil or ghee and take a big lemon size dough and shape them like cookie. Spray Oil .

5. Bake 5 at a time . 370 degrees for 4 minutes . Take out the basket . Flip them and spray some oil . Bake for another 5 minutes.

SERVE warm .

METHOD STOVE TOP :

1. Add water to sauce pan. When it comes to boil add powdered jaggery, cardamom and ghee.

2. Once Jaggery is melted take out the sauce pan and add rice flour , wheat flour and dry coconut. Mix gently . 

3.  Once cooled , Grease your hands with little oil or ghee and take a big lemon size dough and shape them like cookie. Spray oil . 

4. Bake 5 at a time . 370 degrees for 4 minutes . Take out the basket . Flip them and spray some oil . Bake for another 5 minutes.

SERVE warm .
